Two emerging screenwriters – Chas Fisher and Stuart Willis – try to work out what makes great screenplays work. Discovering what it takes by analysing what successful writers put on the page — and then talking/discussing/arguing about it in a podcast.

Chas Fisher grew up in Argentina, Egypt, India and France. As a result, he is committed to writing social justice stories… so long as they feature pirates or werewolves or werewolf-pirates!

Stuart Willis is an award-winning writer & director of grounded genre. His writing has been nominated for multiple Writer’s Guild awards. While as a director, he’s been nominated for an Australian Director’s Guild award, won best Director at Raindance, and been shortlisted for the world-famous TropFest twice.

SERIES REGULARS

Chris Walker has been editing Draft Zero since 2019 and is heavily involved in episodes from planning through to completion. He doesn’t just help us bring you more Draft Zero, more often, he makes Draft Zero better, more often.

Melanie Killingsworth is director and showrunner living in Melbourne, Australia, with 10 years experience in American and Australian productions. She has written, produced, or directed over twenty shorts, three feature films, and several narrative fiction series.

Stephen Cleary is a story developer, script consultant, workshop designer and development trainer. He was the Head of Development at British Screen and has developed over 60 produced features.
